WHEN SHOULD I BE CONCERNED ABOUT MY CHILD'S COMMUNICATION SKILLS?

Every child's individual acquisition of speech and language skills may vary as every child is unique. Referencing developmental milestones can provide a basis for determining whether a full evaluation is necessary. For a general overview of warning signs that may indicate a speech or language disorder, please refer to the ASHA webpage here.

We offer free consultations to address your specific concerns and discuss an appropriate plan of action. It would be our pleasure to address your concerns!

HOW LONG ARE EVALUATION SESSIONS?

Evaluation appointments range from 60 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the needs of your child and their ability to attend to evaluation tasks. Evaluation appointments account for all components within this timeframe; this includes building rapport with child, parent interview, review of medical history, informal assessments, observation and/or standardized assessments.

HOW LONG ARE SPEECH THERAPY SESSIONS?

Our session length is dependent on your child's needs and ability to attend. Our sessions range from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. This includes direct therapy time, consultation and follow-up with parent to discuss progress and home program in addition to time to document the session.

WHAT AREAS OF THE VALLEY DO YOU SERVE?

As of 2024, ongoing speech therapy sessions may be provided in-person or via tele-therapy. Weekly ongoing sessions and evaluations are provided throughout the Valley (dependent on therapist availability).
